For years, people have used pressure washers for outdoor and indoor industrial and commercial cleaning jobs. It is used for cleaning sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and it is even used to clean the exterior of buildings.

The pressure washer is considered to be the best option for these types of cleaning jobs because it is very efficient and it also makes the job a lot easier to do. However, if you are looking for the right type of pressure washer, this is where you will have a problem. You see, different pressure washers are designed for different cleaning purposes. Some are so powerful that it cannot be used on cars as the pressure along will be so powerful that it can damage the car’s paint job, while some are designed to efficiently clean hard-to-remove stains on surfaces such as grease and grime.

First of all, you may want to find out if you need a mobile pressure washer or a stationary one. If you are planning to use the pressure washer for outdoor cleaning, then it is highly recommended that you get a mobile one. Mobile pressure washers are best suited for outdoor cleaning jobs as it can allow you to transfer from one area to another easily. Some machines have wheels attached on them while others are truck or trailer mounted machines.

You also need to consider the output temperature of the pressure washer. Basically, there are three types of pressure washers according to the output temperature. You have the cold water, the hot water, and the steam pressure washers.

Cold water pressure washers are great for minor cleaning jobs. If you are planning on taking on a much tougher cleaning job, your best choice would be the hot water or steam pressure washer. Steam pressure washers are the most powerful type of pressure washer as it can dissolve stubborn or hard to remove deposits from almost any surface.

If you can, try to get a tri-mode pressure washer. This has all three output temperatures.

Another factor that you need to consider is the power level of the pressure washer. The output pressure level can vary from 500 to 8000 pounds per square inch. Always remember that the higher the output pressure is, the better it is in cleaning. However, keep in mind that you still need to select the pressure level according to intended application. If you are going to use the pressure washer for washing a car, then you might want to settle for a less powerful model. A pressure washer exceeding 1500 pounds per square inch of pressure can easily strip off the paint on the car.

The flow rate should also be considered. Usually, the higher the output pressure, the higher the flow rate will be. If you are going to operate in areas where drainage facilities are poor, you may want to select a machine that has a low flow rate.

Whether you need a pressure washer to clean the walls of your house or you want to get one to clean your garage and get rid of the grease and grime stuck on the floor, you can be sure that the right pressure washer will be able to do the job easily and efficiently. So, always consider what cleaning applications you are going to use the pressure washer on in order for you to choose the right pressure washer.
